Hi Simon,
Thank you for the question! No, it is not possible to access those data using the Perl API. Data from Ensembl Beta is available via GraphQL https://beta.ensembl.org/help/articles/using-graph-ql, which is currently available as a beta service. We'd advise caution in use as we cannot guarantee that breaking changes will be introduced as it develops.
