Hi Mike,

You can access web VEP at the following link: https://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Tools/VEP. Web VEP allows you to submit up a file of up to 50MB for processing. 

The virtual machine contains the command line version of VEP, which can be used to analyse larger files and provide additional annotations. You can find documentation for command line VEP here: https://www.ensembl.org/info/docs/tools/vep/script/index.html

Alternatively, you can access VEP through our REST server here: https://rest.ensembl.org/
