[ensembl-dev] denied access to ensembl_compara alignment tables on public server

Dear Developers,

I try to load some sequence alignments into a limited compara_master DB 
with the populate_new_database.pl script, but the public Ensembl mysql 
server does not allow me to do this. It returns with:
Got error: 1044: Access denied for user 'anonymous'@'%' to database 
'ensembl_compara_75' when doing LOCK TABLES. Are the locks there on 
these tables to prevent overloading the system? Is there any other way 
to get alignment data with the populate_new_database.pl script (apart 
from setting-up a local instance of the compara DB limited to the 
alignments)?
