We are pleased to announce that the latest Ensembl and Ensembl Genomes updates have been released:

Highlights of this release include:
Update to human GENCODE 35
New population frequency data from the Gambian Genome Variation Project
39 new genomes: Fourteen plants, ten birds, eight mammals, four fish, one reptile, one amphibian and one crustacean
New sheep (Ovis aries) reference genome and goat (Capra hircus) breed
New barley (Hordeum vulgare) and five wheat (Triticum aestivum) cultivars
New sunflower (Helianthus annuus) variation data
Chromosome specific KASP markers for wheat (Triticum aestivum)
