Hi Eva,
The VEP tries to fetch your terminal size so it can render the progress bars during run time. It will have no effect on your output, so nothing to worry about.
If you want to get rid of this warning you could try using --no_progress or --quiet

Hi,
I just finished a run of VEP 75, the output VCF files look fine/correct format but got the following message in my log file:
Unable to get Terminal Size. The TIOCGWINSZ ioctl didn't work. The COLUMNS and LINES environment variables didn't work. The resize program didn't work. The stty program didn't work. at /software/perl-5.16.2/lib/site_perl/5.16.2/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Term/ReadKey.pm line 426.
Just want to be sure I can trust the output despite this… does anyone know what this might indicate?
Thanks a lot,
Eva
