I am
confused about the definitions of Transcript length(bp) and transcript
length(aa) in the Vega genome browser.

Transcript length aa should be equal to a third of the transcript
length bp minus the intronic areas while this does not happen in in none of the transcripts at http://vega.sanger.ac.uk/Homo_sapiens/Transcript/Summary?g=OTTHUMG00000150835;r=22:22273793-22307209;t=OTTHUMT00000320267

e.g. the sum
of exons of the transcript OTTHUMP00000198593 is  5143 bp but the protein OTTHUMP00000198593 has length 454 amino acids instead of 1714

Kind regards,

Enrico
