Hi All

Might be a naive question. When I look in biomart (Ensembl 61+Homo
sapiens), I don't see the entrez id for ensembl gene (ENSG00000178980).
Also could not see cross reference to entrez under External references
section in gene page for this gene(SEPW1).

Biomart output:
Ensembl Gene ID Ensembl Transcript ID EntrezGene ID
ENSG00000178980
<http://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Gene/Summary?db=core;g=ENSG00000178980>
	ENST00000509570
<http://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Transcript/Summary?db=core;t=ENST00000509570>

ENSG00000178980
<http://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Gene/Summary?db=core;g=ENSG00000178980>
	ENST00000396715
<http://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Transcript/Summary?db=core;t=ENST00000396715>

But I could see the mapping entrez id (6415) in 'gene2ensembl' file
downloaded from NCBI (ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/gene/DATA/)

grep 'ENSG00000178980' gene2ensembl
9606    6415    ENSG00000178980    NM_003009.2    ENST00000509570
NP_003000.1    ENSP00000422644

Wondering why biomart/ensembl is missing this entrez mapping for some
genes. (Pls Note: This gene is an example)

Thanks
Prem
