Dear Ensembl Team,

We are currently utilizing the Biomart API on a weekly basis for our pipeline, using the following host: https://www.ensembl.org with the URL format: /biomart/martservice?query={query_xml}. However, we have encountered frequent downtimes and instability with the UK (Sanger Institute) mirror.

I have a few questions regarding this issue:

  1. Is the UK (Sanger Institute) mirror hosted on-premises?
  2. Are there any data differences between the mirrors located in the UK, US, and Asia?
  3. Could you provide any recommendations on which mirror to use for Biomart on a regular basis to ensure stability and reliability?

Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,
Akschya
