[ensembl-dev] Ensembl REST API | 'groups' variable in output from /info/species

Hi

In the output returned by the endpoint /info/species:

http://rest.ensembl.org/documentation/info/species

there is this variable "groups", which from the documentation I can infer
it is the "available adaptor groups".

What are these adaptor groups?

I can see the values returned comprise: "core", "cdna", "rnaseq",
"otherfeatures", "funcgen" and "variation". So these are the nicknames of
your databases, isn't it? So, let's say, if a species entry in that output
contains the values: {"otherfeatures", "funcgen"}, then it means there is
data for this species in these two databases, right?

The Compara database never shows up in the field "groups", is that by
design?

Thanks!
