[ensembl-dev] Finding a variant's type from a Variant or VariantFeature object

Hi all,

I wonder if there're any method in the Ensembl-variant API that allows
me to check whether a Variant or VariantFeature object is a SNV or an
indel? Not that I can't write that for myself, but I just want to know
if such things have already been done before.
