Just to update you - in response to your mail earlier this week, we've
identified and resolved a number of issues with the REST service, and
hope you don't find any further major problems. Note there have been
intermittent performance issues which we're aware of and are actively
investigating.

Most of the problems we fixed were where the documentation pages were
not loading examples correctly. For instance, for the /info/species
endpoint the main problem was in the documentation page where the
example box was causing the browser to invoke and process the endpoint,
which for Ensembl Genomes returns information for over 20,000 genomes,
the size of which caused problems. We've now removed this example box,
but if you invoke the endpoint directly using your preferred REST client
you should be able to process the output locally. For Ensembl Genomes,
and depending on your use-cases, you may want to look at the
/info/genomes endpoints as they allow you to find available genomes by
division and taxonomy.

Thanks for your patience!

Dan.
