[ensembl-dev] Alternative to fetch_nearest_Gene_by_Feature ?

Hi Jerome,

fetch_nearest_Gene_by_Feature has never been very reliable for all the 
uses to which it is put. We are in the process of testing a replacement 
that applies to all kinds of features, but it is not yet ready for 
public release. We hope to bring it into service soon. Our apologies for 
leaving you without an alternative, but you are free to continue using 
fetch_nearest_Gene_by_Feature.
