[ensembl-dev] Clarification of expected BLAST plugin ticket retrieval beahvior

Hi,

I am trying to use the BLAST plugin on http://www.ensembl.org/Multi/blastview, currently running Ensembl version 71.


Can you please clarify what is supposed to happen when using the "Or Enter an existing ticket ID:" option on the BLAST plugin 'New' tab, with a ticket id from a previous BLAST run.

Is this supposed to retrieve the results of the BLAST run associated with that ticket?

Or (as ensembl.org seems to behave at the moment), is it supposed to re-run the query from the ticket against the current settings on the 'New' BLAST page?

Note: The ticket I tested with is from a previous BLASTN job, not sure if that makes any difference.

Also after starting a BLASTN query, I have noticed that if I bookmark the results page and go back to it later, as per the instructions here http://www.ensembl.org/Help/View?id=196, then the species which I BLAST my query against has changed back to the default 'Homo sapiens' species.

(This was my ticket id: BLA_TX6cjW9CL).

Is this correct behaviour? It seems not to be...
