Hi again
I am struggling to find any compara data for bacterial species in ensemblgenomes.
Dan pointed out that bacterial homology is not now curated, apart from >100 species in pan compara.
however this database is empty
(select TABLE_NAME, TABLE_ROWS from TABLES where INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLE_SCHEMA='ensembl_compara_pan_homology_17_70';)
Also, alas, I don't really understand the provision of family-based compara data he alluded to - where is this information stored?
