Hi All
I just build a local Ensembl local sevrvice. OS is Ubuntu 10.04.3,
Perl5.10.1,Ensembl release-63.
There are two problems.
First,
its 'Comparative Genomics' funnctions doesn't work, including Alignments
(image), Alignments (text), Multi-species view, Synteny. Other views work
very well.
Second,
When I start up Ensembl, there are three databases can't be connected. The
error massage is:
[WARN] Can't connect to DATABASE_COMPARA
[WARN] DBI
connect('database=ensembl_compara_63;host=192.168.20.19;port=3306','root',...)
failed: Access denied for user 'root'@'192.168.20.25' (using password: YES)
at /usr/local/ensembl/modules/EnsEMBL/Web/ConfigPacker_base.pm line 91
[WARN] Can't connect to DATABASE_CORE
[WARN] DBI
connect('database=ensembl_ancestral_63;host=192.168.20.19;port=3306','root',...)
failed: Access denied for user 'root'@'192.168.20.25' (using password: YES)
at /usr/local/ensembl/modules/EnsEMBL/Web/ConfigPacker_base.pm line 91
[WARN] Can't connect to DATABASE_GO
[WARN] DBI
connect('database=ensembl_ontology_63;host=192.168.20.19;port=3306','root',...)
failed: Access denied for user 'root'@'192.168.20.25' (using password: YES)

Ensembl can connect to other databases, but not the above three. However, I
can see them with MySql workbench.
Homo_sapiens_** databases, and
ensembl_***_63, sequence_mart_63, snp_mart_63, vega_mart_63,
ontology_mart_63 databases have already been imported into MySql.
Did I miss anything?
Is there any special configure entry in SiteDefs.pm, DEFAULTS.ini, and
MULTI.ini ? Or something else.
Please give a little help.
Thanks millions.
Daniel
