Hi Steve,

I can connect to ensembldb.ensembl.org through mysql. Does it mean that there 
have some problem in my DBD::mysql perl module? I have checked the version of 
perl, DBI and DBD::mysql. 



[GraceCheng at bxiew ~]$ perl -v
This is perl, v5.10.1 (*) built for x86_64-linux
Copyright 1987-2009, Larry Wall

DBI version: 1.613

DBD::mysql version: 4.016

Is it alright?
