Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that the latest Ensembl and Ensembl Genomes updates have been released:

Highlights of this release include:
- Update to GENCODE 33 annotation for human and GENCODE M24 for mouse.
- Update of human GRCh38 variation data to dbSNP 153.
- 38 new vertebrate species, two dog breeds and four updated genome assemblies.
- Four new plant species.
- 35 new genome assemblies imported from Vectorbase to Ensembl Metazoa.
