[ensembl-announce] Declarations of intentions for Ensembl Genomes Release 36

Dear all,

Release 36 of Ensembl Genomes is scheduled for 6th June 2017. Briefly, this release will include the following:

	• Ensembl Bacteria: updated gene families to include 142 additional genomes
	• Ensembl Fungi: updated automated RNA gene annotation and PHI-base 4.3 annotations
	• Ensembl Metazoa: updated automated RNA gene annotation
	• Ensembl Plants: updated genome assembly for barley (Hordeum vulgare), new automatic ncRNA gene annotations across all species, plus incorporation of new QTL data for rice (Oryza sativa) and 1001 variation data for Arabidopsis thaliana
	• Ensembl Protists: updated automated RNA gene annotation and PHI-base 4.3 annotations
