We have put measures in place that should mean the website stays fully functional, however Biomart will be running at reduced capacity. If you do experience any problems with the main site we have two US mirror sites available which should be unaffected, http://useast.ensembl.org and http://uswest.ensembl.org. Thank you for your patience and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Beth Pritchard Ensembl web team. Hosting institutions would only have to pay the instructor's expenses (accommodation and subsistence) and would share the domestic travel costs, but we would not otherwise charge for the workshops. For more information about our browser workshops, please have a look here. Interested? Please contact me for more details at bert at ebi.ac.uk. While we will aim to preserve the existing division-centric directory structure for existing users by using symbolic links, there may be some disruption whilst the reorganisation is carried out. This is likely to happen between 9:00 and 17:00 BST. A mail with more details will be sent once this work is complete. This means that when release 6 becomes available (currently scheduled for 31st August), all databases for releases 3 and 4 will be removed from the public MySQL server. Please note that dumps of all past releases will continue to be available from our FTP site.
